Why snow contractors switch
Snow is the least forgiving service business there is
The work lands at 3 a.m., all of it at once, and the paperwork lands in October when you should be selling. Plannit handles both ends.
“With Plannit, renewing seasonal contracts and collecting payments takes minutes instead of days.”
Time and completed visitsEvery visit logged without anyone writing it down
GPS records each stop; hours worked land on the timesheet. Notes and checklists attach to any snow or sanding job.
Snow removal CRMEverything you know about a customer, in one place
Contact details, contracts, visit and payment history and the note about the car that's always parked wrong.
Customer notifications"On our way" without the call
Automatic texts before the truck arrives; two-way messaging for the questions that follow.
Accounting syncSeason billed, books current
Invoices and payments flow to QuickBooks or your accounting system. No double entry in April.
See it in a storm
The app your driver actually uses at 3 a.m.
Big targets, gloves-on tapping, and a stop list that works with one hand. The driver clears a stop, the office sees it, and the customer gets told, without anyone making a call.

Questions
Snow removal, specifically
Can I plan routes by area and by service type?
Yes. Routes can be built by area or by service type, so residential driveway runs and commercial salting runs stay separate even when they overlap geographically.
How does Plannit know a stop was completed?
GPS tracking in the mobile app records every visit and address as the driver works the route. The office sees progress live, and the visit record is what invoicing draws from later.
Can customers be told before we arrive?
Yes. Automated "en route" messages go out ahead of the truck, which is usually enough to get vehicles moved before the driver gets there.
How do seasonal contract renewals work?
You create quotes, work orders and seasonal contracts with your own payment terms, then send them in a batch. Clients approve and pay online through the customer portal, and everything syncs to your accounting system.
Do I need the paid plan for GPS and routing?
Routes and GPS are included from the Premium plan up. Scheduling, job tracking, quoting, invoicing and online payments are on every plan, including Free. Compare plans
